Association > Who We Are
The
North Carolina Alpha Zeta Alumni Association is a non-profit organization
whose principal purpose is to promote the profession of agriculture
in its broad concept. The objectives of our Association include:
(1)
To increase the public interest in and understanding of agriculture
and forestry, its professions and its institutions.
(2)
To perpetuate the aims, ideals, and objectives of Alpha Zeta which
are: a) To foster high standards of leadership, scholarship, character,
and spirit of fellowship among all members; b) To strive for breadth
of vision, unity of action, and accomplishment of ideals; and c)
to render service to the students and to agricultural division of
the respective institutions.
(3)
To rally the alumni to the moral and financial support of the general
Fraternity and the National Alpha Zeta Foundation of America, Inc.
(4)
To serve as a connecting link between the individual alumnus and
the Fraternity. The Association actively supports the NCSU Alpha
Zeta Student Chapter annual Founder's Day Banquet and the David
S. Weaver Alpha Zeta Scholarship Program.
Membership
in the Association is open to all alumni, associate and honorary
members of the North Carolina Chapter of Alpha Zeta and all alumni,
associate and honorary members of other Alpha Zeta chapters. Dues
for active membership are $25 per year and are usually paid by the
date of the student chapter annual spring banquet. An Executive
Committee (twelve members and the immediate Past President) is elected
from the membership and empowered to conduct the business of the
Association.
