NC State AMS Student Chapter
NWS Basic & Advanced Skywarn Training September 4th
The purpose of Skywarn is to train volunteers to report severe weather to the National Weather Service. These reports can be vital in the warning decision process and help to verfiy the warnings as well.
The NCSU AMS Student Chapter is providing the National Weather Service with a room in Jordan Hall to teach both the Basic & Advanced Skywarn classes. The Basic class will be begin at 5:30 pm and the advanced class will begin at 7:30 in Jordan 1216 on September 4th. These classes take on average about 1.5 hours and you do not need to attend both.
If you have any questions about finding the building, the room or anything to do with the AMS Club please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For all other questions, please refer to the National Weather Service Raleigh Skywarn Page.
