Asha for Education is an worldwide action group for promoting basic education for under-privileged children in India. 'Asha' means hope -- the hope that we aim to bring into the lives of these children.
Asha-RTP is a chapter of 'Asha for Education' based in the Research Triangle Park area of North Carolina. It is run entirely by a group of volunteers composed mainly of students from local universities, working professionals and people from the local community.
