Join us at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine for a day of education and fun!

This full day of equine-oriented activities is designed to give kids and teens, ages 9 - 18, a hands-on look at anatomy, physiology, and veterinary care for horses. Participants will be grouped by age and will rotate throughout the school, visiting many different activity stations.
Planned activities include:
- A tour of the large animal hospital
- How to perform a physical exam on your horse (live horse activity)
- A look at equine anatomy in the vet school anatomy lab (skeletons, intestinal models, etc.)
- How to age your horse by his teeth
- Preventative medicine
- Basic lameness
- Plus many more!
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, as well as a goody bag and T-shirt.
The registration fee is $50 per child.

We will have additional signs up the day of the event to help with parking and finding your way through the building.
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
Parents/Chaperones will not be permitted to shadow participants during the day. We have a nice library and sitting areas throughout the veterinary school, or you are welcome to leave campus and return at 4 pm for pick-up. Please make sure that you include, on the registration form, an emergency phone number of the person who is in charge of the participant in case we need to contact someone during the day.
