The Red and White Trials
The Red and White Trials are a form of internal tournament for the NCSU Fencing Club.
It serves to try every member to discover where they stand. Each person competes
in events in all three weapons and we promote an open-minded approach to finding your
"niche" in fencing. The trials take place over a weekend in September, and on the first day, new
members to the club compete with eachother under the directing of the returning members.
On the second day, the the roles are reversed and the new members will judge the old members
and see what an experienced bout is like.
The results of each event will help determine the order of fencers when we attend team
events later in the year.
