International Programs

Our Purpose

The purpose of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is to cultivate and encourage high scholastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college women, to study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature, to maintain a progressive interest in college life, and to be of service to all mankind. Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. addresses the major concerns of our community through five program initiatives, which fall under our Extraordinary Service Program (ESP).

We aim to achieve these goals by designing programs targeting each platform during Pink & Green Week, Skee Week, and various programs throughout the year.

Signature KO Programs

Breast Cancer Awareness

Every October, KO participates in Breast Cancer Awareness Month by hosting and supporting breast cancer awareness programs. Most notable is our support of the NCSU Women's Center Chocolate Festival, in addition to programs and fundraisers of our own.

Pink and Green Week

Held alternately to Skee Week, Pink and Green Week is a week-long program of events that aim to satisfy our sorority's international targets while engaging the campus community.
