Each international chapter of Alpha Phi participates in various events each semester to support the Alpha Phi Foundation. Proceeds go towards cardiac care, continuing education programs and the Forget-Me-Not program. The primary purpose of the foundation is to support research in treatment of heart disease. The foundation also awards undergraduate and graduate scholarships and grants for continuing education and leadership training activities. The final part of foundation is the Forget-Me-Not program. This portion provides financial assistance for alumnae facing serious health problems or recent tragedy. Past Philanthropic events and activities of the Epsilon Phi Deuteron Chapter of Alpha Phi: raffles, retirement home volunteers, Christmas parties for underprivileged children, food drives, Easter egg hunts, tutoring, yard sales, work with homeless, toy drives, yard sales, and more! Well, this year we did it again. We raised over $1000 for our philanthropy, the Alpha Phi Foundation. This Spring, the Epsilon Phi Deuteron Chapter held it's First Annual Alpha Phi Bowl-Athon at the Western Lanes on Hillsborough Street in Raleigh. Teams of four people tried their luck at bowling and the chance to win gift certificates, food, and more. Congratulations to all the bowlers who came out and supported the Foundation. The sisters of Alpha Phi would like to that you. We hope to see all of the bowlers from this year plus many more next year when we hold our Second Annual Alpha Phi Bowl-Athon.
