
Sigma
Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship,
leadership, service and to strengthen the bond of friendship among its
members. The sorority was founded in 1978 at the Ohio State University
by five women who wanted an alternative to the social Greek sorority system.

Sigma
Alpha is a member of the Professional Fraternity Association (PFA), a national
organization of professional Greek letter organizations. Both Sigma Alpha
Sorority and the Sigma Alpha Alumni Association are affiliates of American
Agri-Women. Did you know that... Sigma Alpha is the ONLY professional agricultural
sorority in the world!
Sigma
Alpha is the perfect atmosphere for women with agricultural interests to
develop lasting relationships amongst themselves as well as with professionals
in the agricultural industry. Each sister of Sigma Alpha learns to
explore her professional career opportunities, serve her community and
participate in leadership activities.

Alpha Theta Chapter was founded in the Fall of 1997 with 17
sisters and we received our charter on September 26, 1998. Read all about

do lots of fun stuff. We have Philanthropy events, social mixers with
other organizations, banquets and dances. We also play volleyball in the
fall and softball in the spring.
