At the end of each
school year, NCSU's SGT
chapter gives out three awards: Outstanding Teacher Award, Airscrew Award,
and Outstanding Sophomore Award.
OUTSTANDING TEACHER AWARD
The outstanding teacher award recognizes the faculty who has put forth more effort in his/her instruction and has made a significant impact on students' learning and understanding. Nominations for this honor are made by SGT members and then all students in the Aerospace curriculum are allowed to vote.

AIRSCREW AWARD
The airscrew award is given to the professor whose assignments and requirements have caused the students to stay up the latest at night. The selection process for this award is conducted in the same way as that for the Outstanding Teacher Award.

OUTSTANDING SOPHOMORE AWARD
The outstanding sophomore award recognizes a member of the sophomore class that has demonstrated exceptional scholastic ability and potential in Aerospace Engineering. This individual is selected by the faculty.
