Being a NCSU Habitat for Humanity Officer is a lot of fun and a great opportunity to increase your involvement with NC State Habitat for Humanity and a wonderful group of people. No prior experience is necessary and we love new people with new ideas!
Check out the responsibilities for each office below. Next to the title of each office is listed the number of officers with that title. For example, we have 3 works projects officers because that position requires just a little more work than one person can handle.
If one of these offices looks like a good fit for you, send an email to the current president, Lisa Thompson, at , with your intention to run and for which office. Please list a few reasons why you think you make a good candidate for the position and any additional extracurricular commitments you are expecting for next year. Your responses may be posted online so that voters can read them.
The term of each position is one year, but we have had two officers team up in the past to jointly cover the one year term (one of the officers went through Co-Op in the Fall and the other participated in Study Abroad during the Spring). If you are in this position and still want to be an officer, let us know and it may be possible to team you up with someone in the same situation.
Officer elections are at the April 16th all-campus meeting at 7pm in Mann 216. If you absolutely cannot make the meeting, let us know and we will read your comments at the meeting. Thank you for considering NCSU Habitat for Humanity and we hope you decide to increase your involvement in this great organization!
