Okay, this is what most people think of when we start talking about Habitat for Humanity. As stated in the events section, we go out to either a construction site, destruction site, or both nearly every Saturday. But you already knew that, you're here to find out how to come with us.
So here's the deal, you definetly need to be on the listserv for this one. Around Wednesday or Thursday of each week there will be a mass mailing sent out via the listserv. We take our volunteers for the work sites based on a first response basis, which is why the emails don't come out at exactly the same time each week (this gives more people a chance to volunteer). If you do not see an email for one week, you can safely assume that we are not working that weekend.
On Friday you will receive another email indicating that you have made the list for this week. If you do not receive this email, assume you have not made the list. This email will contains the directions and instructions for the weekend's work. We take our work very seriously and expect that all of our volunteers who make the list will show up. If you cannot show up, please find somebody to replace you or contact a Work's Project officer.
