Our chapter of Habitat for Humanity is very active. Because of this, we offer plenty of chances for somebody to get involved in our organization. The most obvious way to get involved is to come out and help us build a house on Saturday mornings.
But, we offer many more avenues for involvement if swinging a hammer isn't your forte. You can come out on Tuesday or Thursday night and help tutor children. In addtion, our major fundraisers, Shack-A-Thon and the 5K, always need plenty of volunteers to go off without a hitch.
Perhaps one of the most rewarding ways to get involved with NCSU Habitat for Humanity is for you to become an officer. At the end of each spring semester, officer elections are held. There are over a dozen positions open at the end of each year, but come prepared to fight for your spot.
