WHY ARE WE HERE

Inter-Residence Council, or IRC, is a residential resource organization which is here to listen to the voice of on-campus residents. We us e this knowledge to create a link among the residents. We also educate, promote diversity, and serve as a voice to the University community for on-campus residents.

HOW WE DO IT

IRC holds a meeting each Thursday at 7:00PM in Turlington basement (meetings are open to everybody). Each week we discuss residential concerns, learn something new, provide communication among the halls, and write/read/laugh at the infamous announcements.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

You know you want to GET INVOLVED! The easiest way is to show up to our weekly meetings at 7:00 PM in Turlington basement. You can learn about upcoming programs and events, or voice your residential community's opinions. We are always open to new ideas and thoughts. Anyone can also become a hall representative, committee member, committee chair, or executive board member.

Hello Everyone,

This semester is well on its way, and time has definitely flown by.  IRC has been off to a great start so far, and I always appreciate to hear your feedback.  We have had the chance to hear from many different departments on campus including Com-Tech, Dining, Facilities, and even the Hillsborough Street project.  We keep our upcoming meetings posted on this site, so be sure to check it out if there is one you are interested in attending. 

In terms of other things around campus, IRC is also working on the visitation policy.  We sent out a survey to all residents living on main campus, and we truly appreciate the feedback; close to 2,000 students responded!  We are working with the data and will keep you posted on what is going on with the project. Also, IRC is well underway with programs for this year. For the rest of this semster and into next year, look forward to Broomball, Beyond Aladdin - Islamic Education, and even a Hyptnotist coming to campus!
