  • MESSAGE FROM THE VP OF PROGRAMMING

Hello NC State, I am your Vice President of Programming for the 2009-2010 school year. My role as an executive board member is to program for the on campus residents. What exactly is a program? A committee and I develop events chosen by the general assembly that we feel is beneficial to the residential population. These programs vary from social, community service, educational, and diversity. Some of the programs that we are doing this semester are Cardboard Wars (Social and Sustainability), LAN Party (Social Tradition), Where’s Waldo (Social), Beyond Aladdin (Islamic Education Program), Broomball (Social and Athletic), and hypnotist Brian Imbus (Social).

My goal for these programs this year is to reach a broader spectrum of students on campus as well as increase our attendance. My methods for doing so are publicizing across campus through hall flyers, public flyers, sandwich boards, chalking, and painting the tunnel. We have recently added a swipe card program to ensure we have a proper attendance list to ensure that our programs are of interest to everyone on campus.

If you have any suggestions for possible programs for the 2010 semester or have any questions please send me an email at bsrumble@ncsu.edu.
