About the MGC
The Multiplayer Gaming Club (MGC) is dedicated to multiplayer video games, such as Halo, Counterstrike, Starcraft, and other such games. We try to cater to console and computer gamers, and improve their gaming experience at North Carolina State University. We provide high-quality Internet-based servers for the entire public, hosted by officers of the MGC, and we host occasional 'LAN parties' on campus for NCSU students, staff, and faculty. LAN parties are get-togethers with other players in console and computer games for play in a local and fun setting.

Instead of trying to cater to all gamers, our club is segmented into smaller 'gaming groups', controlled by officers of the MGC. Each group is dedicated to either a particular game (ie Half-Life: Counterstrike), a series of related games (ie the Halo series of games), or a specific gaming system (ie the X-Box). Each group is responsible for their own game servers, and for representing their games at LAN parties.

Membership in the MGC is open to all NCSU students, staff, and faculty. If you feel that your favorite game is not represented, and you feel that you can get sufficient support for your game in campus, you can ask our steering committee to form your own gaming group. See the officers link on the left side of the screen for more information on contacting the steering committee.
