Welcome to NABA
Thank you for taking the time to visit the website of the NC State Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants Inc. NABA is an organization that strives in excellence and we openly welcome students of all nationalities and majors. Aside from fulfilling our national goals, the NCSU Chapter is committed to adding value to our members, which we believe will assist them in building the skills and character that will ease them into the transition from a student to a professional.
NCSU Chapter’s Mission Statement
" Lifting As We Climb" is our motto and standard. At NCSU we work hard to support and adhere to our motto and standard. The NC State University Chapter of NABA shall unite those through membership; who have similar interests and ideals, committed to academic and future professional excellence, have a sense of professional and civic responsibility, and are concerned with enhancing opportunities for minorities in the accounting and finance professions. The NABA chapter at NCSU works diligently to encourage and cultivate interest among minority youth in the accounting and finance professions through offering scholarships, mentoring, tutoring, leadership opportunities and career assistance.
NCSU Chapter Goals
• To provide balanced, meaningful programs to broaden members' understanding of the business and professional world.
• To establish and develop contacts with accounting and finance professionals, executives, and managers.
• To foster personal contact and exchange information between members.
• To further the development, improvement, and application of accounting practices consistent with the highest standards of ethics and practice.
• To develop community awareness of the chapter and its activities.
• To provide members with skills needed to successful obtain a job in the accounting field.
• To establish and maintain an active relationship with the RTP Professional Chapter of NABA.
