2. Are there paid positions in the OneTern Internship Program?
All intern positions are non-paid at this time; however, in some cases, an intern may receive a payment for work during events or at other times.
3. What is the length of the internship?
The durations of internships can be for a semester, a school year, a summer or throughout a student’s entire college career, depending on the individual student.
4. Will I be able to receive college credit through the OneTern program?
College credit is offered from most schools through this program. Students should find out if credit is available from their specific department. To inquire of eligibility of credit, contact the Department Head of your institution.
5. How much time is required of me?
Work for an internship is assigned according to the amount of time that you are able to commit to the program.
6. Can my position be changed during the internship?
Your position may be changed during the internship, provided that the desired position is open, and you are qualified for the position.
7. When may I begin the internship?
Internships are open to eligible students of all classifications. The time that a student begins is solely up to him or her.
8. Can I attend meetings if I am not an intern?
YES! Meetings are open to anyone, and everyone is encouraged to attend and participate. All students can join the student organization and are eligible to hold a leadership position within it. Click here to complete an application form for the student organization.
9. OneTern offers free career advice and services; are you career counselors?
No. While the content of our meetings often include information on careers and professionalism, we are not career counselors. This information that we present is accessible to everyone; we simply do the research for you and present it in an easy-to-read/easy-to-understand format. While we can help guide you to more resources and assist you as a starting point, we also encourage you to work with a career counselor. Check out NC State's Career Center to contact the counselor for your college.
10. What church is One Accord affiliated with?
One Accord is not directly affiliated with any church or church organization other than the Body of Christ.
