Student CFP Benefits
Food Credit: Earn $15 credit to be used at the Hill's CFP for each shift worked in the Hill's Barn.
SCAVMA Credit: Earn 1 SCAVMA credit for each shift worked in the Hill's Barn. SCAVMA credits are used to determine the amount of funding available for any given student that applies for funding. The more you participate and get SCAVMA credits, the more funding that will be available. Learn more about SCAVMA!
Class Credit: If 75% of your class works 2 shift during their 4 years at NCSU-CVM, then the Hill's CFP will give $100 to your class for each student that worked their 2 shifts.
Hill’s Barn Volunteer No-Show Penalty:
- If a student is unable to attend a shift at the Hill’s barn that they signed up for, the student is responsible for finding a replacement volunteer. No-shows cause a strain on the working Hill’s Rep, CFP Assistant, and other student volunteers.
- Students who miss a shift will have 2 SCAVMA points deducted from their point total (in addition to not receiving a SCAVMA point for the shift they didn’t show up for).
- For students arriving late to shifts, $5 will be deducted from that student’s CFP credit for each half-hour that the student is late.
- If a student cannot attend a shift, every effort should be made to find a replacement volunteer by calling friends or sending a mass email to the classes. The Hill’s Reps should be informed as soon as possible if a replacement cannot be found.
- Exceptions for personal, medical or family emergencies can be allowed. Extenuating circumstances will be determined by Hill’s Reps.
