Q1.
Who is this organization for?
A: This organization serves the students of NCSU and area professionals who have an interest in
pursuing entrepreneurship at some point in their lives. The UEN, through
a speaker series, workshops, and other events, strives to foster Entrepreneurship
on campus and in the surrounding community. The UEN also works to educate
students about entrepreneurship.
Q2. How do
I become a member?
A: Attend any meeting and give your name and e-mail address to one of
the officers. You will be added to the organization mailing list, have
the option of being listed in the member directory on the web site, and
be notified of all UEN events and functions via email.
Q3. What are
the membership dues?
A: As of this moment, there are no membership dues. Asssociate membership
is available to students of other universities and professional membership
is also available.
Q4. How can
I contribute to the University Entrepreneurs Network (UEN)?
A: We have various kinds of activities such as a Speaker Series, in which
we invite successful entrepreneurs to talk about various aspects
of entrepreneurship. We also have case study meetings and are currently planning a Start-Up Fair for the Fall 2004 semester. There are currently a couple leadership positions available, but they will go fast. For more information
on this, contact one of the executive officers.
Q5. How can
I benefit from the University Entrepreneurs Network (UEN)?
A: We provide an excellent environment to network with student and professional entrepreneurs. From our members, to our speakers, to our Board of Mentors, you will have a large community from which to gain knowledge and seek guidence. Also, throughout the semester active members will be
given benefits such as free social events, free and/or discounted shirts
and other merchandise, access to conferences and events outside NC State,
and more.
