Nominations for the 2007 Brandt Lecture will be solicited very soon, so please start thinking about who you would like to see! Please contact Brandt Lecture coordinators Amanda Boury with any questions. In honor of Dr. B. B. Brandt,
a former professor in the zoology department, graduate students nominate,
vote for, and bring to NCSU a distinguished scientist of their choice.
The scientist gives the Departmental Seminar of the week, meets individually
with students and faculty, and attends a reception held in his or her
honor after the Thursday seminar. The Brandt Lecture
is a unique educational experience, so take full advantage of this opportunity
by nominating speakers you would be interested in meeting, voting for
your top speaker choices, and signing up to meet with the speaker during
his or her visit.
