2006 9th Annual Zoology and Botany Graduate Student Symposium Talley Student Center Blue Room 8:00-3:30 Update: 3/20--Schedule is available here!! Reception will follow at 4pm at Nick and Kathryn Haddad's house at 406 Brooks Ave. Annual graduate student symposia are a hallmark of the finest
graduate programs in the nation and an important component of the graduate
school experience. The Graduate Student Symposium provides an opportunity
for graduate students to exchange scientific ideas, practice presenting
research, interact with the scientific community, and fulfill your scientific
responsibility of communicating research to the public—all in a
friendly and supportive environment. This is an all day event that starts at about 8:00 and continues until 3:30. Breakfast and lunch are provided, and the event finishes with a reception at the house of Nick and Kathryn Haddad in the early evening (406 Brooks Ave). Awards providing money for travel to professional meetings are given for the best MS talk, the best PhD talk, and the best poster in each department. If you are interested in giving a talk or a poster please submit your proposed title by Wednesday, February 22nd. We will do our best to accommodate everyone’s request, but there are only slots for approximately 15 talks. For those presenting or giving a poster, final abstracts will be due Monday, March 13th.
