Kappa Omicron Chapter

Chartered April 27, 1976

On behalf of the Kappa Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to our beautiful website! Please read about the rich history and exceptional achievements our sorority and chapter have accomplished throughout the years. Founded in 1908 as the first Greek-letter organization among African American women, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated continually strives for unity and excellence. With our mission statement in mind, we provide meaningful programs and engage in community service to leave a lasting impact on the world around us. As ladies of the Kappa Omicron Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated at North Carolina State University, we desire to uphold the poise, sophistication, empowerment, and culture of our organization on our campus. As the leaders of tomorrow, we remember the quote by the honorable J.Todd Ferrier, “We are what we think; as we desire so do we become. By our thoughts, desires, and habits, we either ascend to the full divine dignity of our nature, or we descend to suffer and learn.”
