Don't take this list as an indication that you should only pursue graduate school in North Carolina. You have a much greater chance of acceptance and funding outside of NC. However, practically-speaking, a lot of students don't want to leave town, and if you look at the kinds of quality schools we have, you may not need to look elsewhere.
